The closest airport is O'Hare International Airport (ORD). From O'Hare, we recommend renting a car or using a rideshare (Uber/Lyft) to drive to Lake Forest. It is an approximately 35-45 minute drive.

IF YOU’RE TAKING THE TRAIN...

The Metra Union Pacific North Line toward Waukegan (if coming from the South) or toward Ogilvie Transportation Center (if coming from the North) has both the Lake Forest and Braeside stops, each of which are 15-20 minute walks to the hotels/Garden, respectively.

What is the suggested attire?

The attire for the wedding and reception is Evening Cocktail Attire. Our celebration will take place outdoors. Guests will enjoy a short 5–10 minute walk on paved pathways from the front gate to the English Walled Garden, followed by a stroll to McGinley Pavilion for dinner and dancing.

Event Parking

Complimentary parking will be available on-site at the Chicago Botanic Garden, just tell the parking attendant you are there for our wedding!

Directions upon arrival

After entering through the front gates, guests will proceed along the main path and turn left at the first pathway. The English Walled Garden will be just ahead on the left. Following the ceremony, guests will enjoy a short walk to McGinley Pavilion for dinner and dancing.
